Here's a little trivia. In early 2015, I ordered my 500X direct from the product manager at FIAT USA. During our discussions, I brought up a 500X Abarth and they said quote "not over my dead body". Summarizing, a car wearing an Abarth badge had to be worthy of the name. Fast forward 4-5 years later and they are gone, so maybe there is some hope.

Nice! Hope it comes, with the European LED head, and tail lamps. Finally a reason to trade in my 8 1/2 year old 500. I’ve watched all the You Tube videos about the new 500X sport.

it does not have to be a abarth badge. I like what I see so far, I would just like to see a bump in power and a classic Italian exhaust. Just like the abarth has. Perhap we could get the 2.0 T Mulitiar 3 that I have read about on the internet. It says its just like the 1.3 T firefly but 2.0T.

Do you think we could get a more powerful version or maybe a 2.0T Firefly?
when do you think we will hear more?
do you think we will see it at the LA autoshow this year?
what have you heard from the guys from fiat about the direction of Fiat USA cars?
ALso iwas reading from LA times that Fiat 500x is Fiat USA new flagship car. if that the case I think they should make a abarth or sport as one of their go fast cars. Also I would like to see them expand there lineup to meet the needs of americans.
so what do you guys think?

In other 500X’s model line up, theres the option of AWD. The majority of 500x’s out there, are FWD. I sure don’t need AWD. I live in the snow belt too. I prefer the fuel economy.

I take it back 2018 it was a option. 2019 AWD.

I'm looking forward to test driving the new 500X. Per the specs it has more power than the 124 Abarth, 0-60 is about 1/2 second slower than the 500 Abarth. I especially love the new tires and steering specs... and w/ its 4WD might not get stuck in my driveway, come the next snow fall.
