Fiat 500X Rear Light wire harness question

New to Fiat Forum. Question: My daughter owns a Fiat 500X 35,000 miles. The left turn signal is out.The wire harness around the light melted. Is this a factory warrenty issue of considered wear and tear?

Has anyone had any luck identifying the right part number for this connector that melts?
I have the same issue with my 2017 fiat and am having trouble locating a replacement.

Any leads you have would be appreciated
