Bad Socket, 2012 Pop Daytime Running Light, can I get a new socket?

A year ago my daughter picked out a red 2012 Fiat Pop for her first car. The daytime running light quit working on the driver side after about a month. I put in a new bulb and thought all was good. Another month and the light is out again. I put in another new bulb. Then it goes out in a day. I told her to ignore it for now because I had a lot going on and a little bulb didn't matter that much. Now It's been a year and I spent a good hour looking at the wiring and checking for what could be the problem. It seems the socket that holds the bulb is a little burned and does not hold the bulb tightly. I would like to purchase a new socket with pigtail wires and solder it to the existing wires. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find one using normal searches on google.

So my question is "what is the part number?" Is it a generic socket or special for Fiat?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.

I'm doubtful that you will be able to purchase the small subset of parts that you need. You will likely need to purchase a full replacement light housing (not that bad on rockauto actually) or find a junkyard with a light you can pull.

    Best of luck!

Had the same exact problem on my 500x and it was in fact a bad bulb socket, but on the X, the socket has its own wiring that ends in a plug so it was easily replaced. You would have to use a Fiat 500 socket as it’s designed with slots that fit in the running light’s base and locks in place. I don’t know the part number but I’m sure it has one. Try looking up a parts diagram on mopar’s website.
