    Potential misfire?

So about a day ago I installed my atp catless downpipe and ptp turbo blanket. Today I got on it full throttle from 1st to 4th. At the the top of 4th gear the car started to stutter and the rpms wouldn't go any higher. Could it be coils or fouled spark plugs or something else?

Yea I'd look at plugs, probaly just replace. try closing the gap up a hair to .24 if it persists. You really shouldnt have to go tighter with a proper tune.... but try it. Also, if your using sikr9's maybe try dpr9's or vice versa.

It wouldnt be coils going bad. But a lot of people might tell you the stock ones aren't good enough for high boost. Before you go dropping $300 on 4c coils, consider a tork tune. He has the ability to alter dwell unkike other tunes and adding a bit of dwell makes the stock coil work really well for high boost.

Mine are gapped to .24 but I can't remember which ones I'm running now. I do plan on getting the alfa 4c coils but I'll see if that works. Thank you

Put some miles on the car before trouble shooting. You made a drastic modification and now it is going to drive differently until the ECU adapts

Never heard someone advise another heavy shuddering misfires under high load to keep driving it so it can work itself out. Definatly not under the umbrella of things to leave for the ECU to possibly sort out.

I dont think an exhaust pipe would fall under "drastic" modification either. And as a general rule, "drastic modofications" might need supporting hardeware possibly and tuning. Where as non drastic modifications like an exhaust pipe can just be left for ecu to make any minor corrections.

It might be something else than plug gap or plugs. That usually happens around like torque peak. You shouldnt have like ignition breakup or interference or something on a oem ignition system. Car doesnt have any codes? Do you havea good way to log datastream? That would be a start to see what's going on. I'm not sure why it would do it, but it could be a stumble from fuel? If.your doing a 4 gear pull, the way the factory efi works, it is dumping a ton of at high rpm at WOT. And temps, air and oil rise.on this car quick and it does several things to combat them. One fo them dumpinga massive amount of fuel. A four gear long pull in am abarth is going to create a massive amount of heat as well as other strategy within the ecm. That may be a cause. I dont know. Log thr data and see whT it tells you. That's a start.

Ok I have a obd scan tool. I'll do logging in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear all WOT to redline today and see if I can post some screenshots.
