Top 10 Cars that get Speeding Tickets

I was reading a article of the top 10 cars that get speeding tickets. I was waiting to see where the Abarth would pop up on the list. It did not but the one that did sorta took my my surprise. It was the Dodge Dart. What can a Dodge Fart I mean a Dart do that an Abarth can't. Ummmmm have a more mature and resposible driver I guess. The no. one car was the Subaru WR series.

lol Let's see... in their first 6 years they sold over 360,000 units in the US and Canada, the SRT-4 model had more HP, faster top speed, similar 0-60... and more dumb drivers. You are at freeway speeds when shifting out of second gear, and have 4 in reserve.

They had a 2.4L multiair engine, backed by a 6 speed in an aero shape, so when cruising you could knock down 500 miles between fills. Basically, for freeway driving, it was superior in every aspect.

The SRT-4 Dart never came out, there was a lot of hype but, it was never produced. I sold my 08 SRT-4 Caliber in 2014 and bought a Dodge Dart SXT with the 2.4 liter.
I was hoping I would only have it for 1 to 2 years until the SRT-4 version came out but, it never did.

One of the reasons I now drive an Abarth.

Yeah, they didn't call them the SRT-4, but it had many of the mods the SRT-4 Neon had. Sorry, should have put "SRT-4" in quotes.

Not sure why you expected the Abarth on that list. Honestly if I floor it from an intersection peoples heads whip around scanning for something sporty, they hardly ever notice the little "toy car" at the front of the pack. Same goes for law enforcement. They hear a loud muff and a few cars speeding all I have to do is back off and let someone else take the blame.

Speeding tickets per unit sold? Abarth might have a chance, they DO beg you to floor it everywhere.

Also, as mentioned most FIAT owners are old guys or car nerds. Even if we do something stupid enough to get pulled over we are much less likely to go home with a ticket than a 21 year old, flat brim wearing, vaping, WRX owner.

I think our cars fly under the radar (pun intended) when it comes to cops. Like everyone else, they expect the fiat to be slow. I also think the small frontal area helps prevent cops from getting a radar lock. Several times I've run into a radar trap at "get a ticket speed", slowing way too late; but didn't get the ticket.

Side note: This quote makes me think you don't like the Dart.

Would you like it more if I told you it was a FIAT?

I always thought the 200 and Dart were surprisingly good looking, I got pulled into the FCA fold and had a "duh" moment. They look like european cars because they are european cars...

No it is not that I don't like the car (which I do like by the way). I just never liked the name. When the first ones back in the 70's came out someone called it a Fart and it stuck. Not sure what they should have called it though.
