    Radio harness question?

First off let me say that I'm sorry if this has already been asked and answered before. I truly tried to search for the answer before posting a new thread.

    Good day everyone,

I just purchased a used 2013 500 Sport about a month ago and am loving it so far. In all fairness I love small cars, my other car is a classic Mini Cooper.

Anyway, my question is, does anyone have the wiring diagram for the radio? I'm upgrading the radio and speakers without the special harness. I've installed countless radio units in the past and I'm a fairly competent mechanic/electrician so I'm not afraid of splicing into the wiring loom. I just would rather not waste the time of chasing all the wires to figure out which one goes to what, especially in this Texas heat. Work smarter not harder I always say.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Ron

Sorry, I don't know, but my installer downloaded the schematic and, apparently, Crutchfield has it. I understand install varies depending on the 3 stereo options and whether you want the steering wheel controls.

Thanks map for the reply. Yeah I saw that article from Crutchfield during my search. I'll keep plugging along until I find it I guess.

Which system do you have? Do you have Beats?

Thank you everyone for the great info!

@Fiat500USA - It looks as though I have the middle setup (Alpine) as I have the 6.5s in the doors and the little 3s in the back with the amp in the boot but no sub like the Beats version.

It's going to be exceptionally hot today so unless I find a good fan and some shade I might hold off.

Thanks again and I'll let you guys know how it goes.
    Thanks,

    Ron L

If you buy the radio from Crutchfield, they will pre-wire the harness for you. I think it costs $25, and it's probably well worth it.
