    Fiat 500 Abarth front axle shaft '15 Automatic Gearbox

    Hello there,

    Just purchased my first 500 Abarth 2015(Automatic Gearbox) from Copart. The Car will arrive soon, so I want to prepare all needed parts to rebuild it.

    The car has damaged front left (Driver side) suspension, control arm and axle shaft, tripod hub of inner CV joint is missing.
    I've managed to get control arm, but have an issue with Axle shaft.

    Can anyone advise if the Abarth Automatic Gearbox axle shaft and regular 500 Automatic Gearbox axle shaft are the same ?
    If not what is the part number for tripod hub for Abarth Automatic Gearbox axle shaft? (does any other fiat model or other car manufacturers use the same tripod hub ? )

    P.S. I'm located in Tbilisi, Georgia
    So I'm limited in shipping (ordering online heavy items)

    Where did you source your vehicle from? Like what country did the vehicle come from?

    Shoot these folks an email or give them a call for more information. I replaced the passenger side axle on my previous 2012 Abarth and bought through them.

    I have search the part on that website also and it says that 500 abarth and regular 500 axle shafts are the same.
    But I’m quite sure they aren't.

    but will try to call again.

    As for the tripod they don't sell it separately. Thats why I searching advise on forum based on ppls experience.

    My apologies, I didn't pay enough attention to your original post and realize now that you have an autotrans. Unfortunately I have not dealt with that model so a visit to a local dealer or a message to the website will be your best bet. Unless someone else on the site has more info for you.

    To sum up couldnt find the part number and I ended up purchasing used drive axle shaft (10K miles Abarth).

    I would wait to order parts until you have time to evaluate all the damage. As you say, assuming the suspension was damaged there is a better than even chance the unibody may have been bent or damaged too. Even if you were able to replace the control arms and broken suspension parts, the alignment may be out far enough that the car is essentially worthless as a driver. As with most modern cars, depending on the severity of the accident, insurance companies total vehicles for a reason. This is in spite of looking repairable.

    Lol, tweaked unibody is a minor detail to eastern Europeans where I live. A crooked bmw is better than a straight Honda! There are teams of russian wholesalers traveling around from dealer to dealer and auctions looking specifically for severly damaged cars, highend cars with 5 and 6 accidents on carfax, that's what they want. Black and high options with lowest spec engine is the preferred configuration.
