    Fuel Injectors

    Guys have a question i have a 2012 Abarth, got a tune up, New plugs, coils and short intake. My question is when should one replace the fuel injectors ??? and or fuel filter???

    Welcome to the forum. Replacing fuel injectors are not part of normal maintenance, so you replace when they wear out. Fuel filter is non-replaceable. It is built into the fuel pump and there is no change interval.

    Injectors are fairly easy and not super expensive to replace. Although they are not part of a maintenance interval, it might be a good idea at around 80-100k miles.

    My regular maintenance for keeping injectors clean is adding a half pint of sea foam into a full tank of gas twice a year and using 2 oz. of Amsoil P.i., and a bottle of octane booster at every fill up.

    Also, a local fuel injection or diesel shop can typically rebuild injectors and very flow match. Cheap, fast service. Should be mandatory for anyone buying used injectors. It's not a bad idea to have them done at interval ngen recommends. Youd be shocked how out of wack and full.of.deposits a.seemingly.good set.of injectors can be.

    Thanks guys for the info, the Abarth has 90,000 and i have replaced most used components
