Did a test drive of the gulia and buying advice

So I am looking to buy an another car. It comes down to the payment of the current car is too much. So I am a little concerned about the Alfa due to not owning one.
So what things do I need to be concerned about?
How often is oil changes and how do you feel about the car and engine?

You need to be concerned about getting tickets and tripping when you walk away from it while you have your head turned looking at it.

We have a Stelvio and it is a solid car. We have around 6K on it and we just barely used a quart of oil. The oil change is 1 yr/10k miles or when indicated by the oil change light.

I have a GTV6 for the past 30+years and it is a rugged car. Old Alfas are traditionally tough, beefy cars. The New Alfa is just like the old ones from the past. The other thing about an Alfa is it is the real deal. It is not a made up brand with a made up heritage like the fake Japanese luxo-brands. Immerse yourself in Alfa history, heritage and mystique and you will never, ever pay attention to losers especially on facebook. LOL. There is a reason why Jeremy Clarkson says you cannot call yourself a real petrol head until you own an Alfa. That's what I think.

Well, after looking at it
Let me tell you about the car
It was a base gulia but it had the upgraded brake package and the red paint with black seats. No options $299 a month. The salesperson told me if used to sell BMW but loves Alfa better now. I will say after getting a good test drive and walk around. I was sold a good amount. I would compare it to if Fiat had a luxury brand Alfa is it. But one of my complaints is that Alfa and fiat don’t sell enough cars. But my fiat 500 was a huge love affair. I think the Alfa will be too. The wife really loves the Infiniti QX56 but times a harder on us so she thinks it’s best to look for something more easy on the pocket. One thing that concerns me is getting used to knowing how to use things.
Here is bottom line...
If we can get close to the payment and the numbers
Then yes... we might do it.
Also I would buy this as a lease expecting to buy it after the lease.
What about the engine the 2.0T I have read on some sites that it’s basically a multiair III with a more a powerful tune, or is it a Alfa engine from the ground up. Not a lot of info on this engine.
One more concern how long should the tires last?
But again I like it a lot ,wife was like oh can we afford this car?
I am planing on going to see what Infiniti has in this price class .
If you guys find any dealers who can keep me around $250-$299 let me know.

It turns out that not much money for downpayment, plus I am about 2-4K upside down on my trade. So I don’t think a deal can be made.

This right here. It's hard to explain. Many people just dont get it. To the Japanese, and many others, performance, amazing dynamics, innovative superior engineering are a commodity. They arent an inherit ideal core to the philosophy of the manufacturer. I feel the same way about audi, Porsche and Ferrari, even bmw and mercedes. They were the product of vision to innovate and improve constantly. Engineering excellence for its own sake. Not to make a shiny approximation of what car lovers look for. Alfa has always carried the torch and recently, made exiting and beautiful cars in some of the most boring segments of the market. Can you imagine Lexus pulling off the mito? The cayenne? Not a chance in hell. It would be a sorry clone that only offer competition in stats on a price of paper.
