Not sure if this 600 was a real concept, or not.

I think that may be a Messerschmitt KR200. Pretty cool. I love unusual European cars.

Admin note: I am wrong, that is an Isetta! Good eye!

Lets talk TINY. No discussion of micro-cars would be complete without a nod to the smallest production car in the world. Meet ---Drumroll please-- The Peel P50

        The Peel P50
        excerpt from Wikipedia

The Peel P50 is a three-wheeled microcar originally made from 1962 to 1965 by the Peel Engineering Company on the Isle of Man. It was listed in the 2010 Guinness World Records as the smallest production car ever made.[3] It had no reverse gear, but a handle at the rear allows the very lightweight car to be manoeuvred physically when required.

Designed as a city car, it was advertised in the 1960s as capable of seating "one adult and a shopping bag". The vehicle's only door was on its left side and equipment included a single windscreen wiper and one headlight. Standard colours were Daytona White, Dragon Red, and Dark Blue. The 1963 model retailed for £199 when new (about £6,600 in 2019, or US$8,500). The company produced 50 P50s and only 27 are known to still exist, one of which was sold for a record US$176,000 at a Sotheby's auction in March 2016.[4]

In 2010, Peel Engineering Ltd. in England started remaking the P50 and Trident models from its premises in Sutton-in-Ashfield, England.[5] Externally this car is very similar to the original, bearing the same dimensions and curb weight as the original, but with mechanical differences in the suspension, steering, and drive-train, as well as a fully functioning reverse gear, ensuring they are road legal on today's roads. Petrol models with a 49 cc, four-stroke engine are being produced, as well as electric models with an electric moped motor and gelled-electrolyte batteries. The top speed of both cars is about 28 mph (45 km/h).

I spent most of my money on fast cars, guitars and pretty women. I somehow managed to waste the rest of it.

Yeah, that was true of all the vans of the era... although the US made vans had a LOT of stiffening in the wheel openings. Fortunately this car could only go about 45 MPH.

Wow, a '59 NSU Prinz. A whopping 20 HP and the first year of the synchro tranny.

To go along with small, these are the Sinclair, HMV Freeway, Elcar, and Citicar. I only saw one Peel, but was able to tinker on each of these. The Sinclair is now being called a Velomobile, but was sold as an auto, in the day.

I once owned the car that was titled as the first HMV electric. (It was a bogus mfgr title to avoid CA tax, when the actual first car was returned under warranty.) The Freeway was the only car in this lot that was available with ICE power.

Then Sir Clive Sinclair's dream car. Cheap, got around road tax, and younger drivers could operate w/o a license.

I watched that same NSU on You Tube yesterday. 2 cylinder over head valves. Siamese stroke pistons. Made in Germany. NSU, also produced the first wankle powered roadster too.

Yeah, NSU might have been making cars for decades longer, if they hadn't taken up the Wankel. It took them a decade to find a decent engine seal. (They should have simply copied Curtis-Wright, their co-developer.)

No one can’t say this little puppy, isn’t cute. I’d buy this, put it in my family room. Sit in it, and watch the movie Roman Holiday.
