Is there a color code for the red leather seats and if so, what is it?

    Hi all,

I want to order some dye to rejuvenate my cracked leather seats. However, even with my VIN, the dealer is unable to tell me anything other than my car has «nero and rosso» seats (black rear seats, red front ones). Duh...

Normally, specialized sites use a specific color name or code (because red seats off a Ram are not necessarily the same as those off a Charger or, for that matter, a Fiat).

    Any help?

I’ve tried to find them on the Mopar parts site, but it’s convoluted at best, and I never did figure it out.

But I never said I was Einstein. lol. Poke around and see if you have better luck than I did. It appears the seat comes in several pieces, so the only important part is that which includes the red leather...

Could you go to an auto Upostery shop and see if they can match the color. The shop I go to here in Chattanooga has all kinds of dyes. I have even seen him mix up the color to match what he was working on. Just a thought. Also some of the dealers have someone who will come by their lots and repair or dye the leather seats in cars. May want to see if that is an option. Buy the dye from them, or just let them do it.

Here's what I ended up doing : I took a chance and ordered some red leather dye from Amazon.

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's not perfect (it's a little more orange-ish than the seats), so I didn't apply it using the supplied sponge. I used a very fine paintbrush to dye the cracks one by one. Up close, it's not perfect, but from even a slight distance, it masks the imperfections enough that the seats actually look new.

Talk to an upholstery shop. I had an Audi s4 from like 6000 miles till 140k miles. Lile 10 years. It had "silver " leather. Which was basically white. I had the seats redone twice at upholstery shop AMD that included dyeing. Thry looked fantastic EAch time and held up like new for quite a few years after each time. Color matched to door cards perfectly.

Tried that route to no avail. They would only be interested if they were going to redo the whole seats. I was in no way interested in paying for that, as it was IMHO a DIY job.

That sucks. I had mine fully restored both times. I was really shocked thei first time. I want to say it was.$400 for fronts and 250 for rear. They essentially looked new. I was a yoing.man back then and my car was basically a rolling Roman orgy. Amazing the work they did.
