    Airbag system service

Hello, anyone knows what can I do with this massage?
Came out with no action in the car. I already disconect the 12v battery and the message and airbag light continue.

I have an odb2 scanner and I can read the main baterry info with alfaodb app, but I don't know how can I read the faults codes and if I need the yellow adapter.

    Thanks.

Coincidentally my car started doing the exact same thing yesterday. I, too, have disconnected the 12V battery and shorted the + and - cables together. Message did not go away immediately. However today I have discovered it is an intermittent problem. The warning light will go off for a while, and then for whatever reason it will turn on again. So I am assuming there is a loose connection somewhere. Have not had time to investigate it yet. I did some Googling and loose connections are usually the issue.

Thanks for your post, anyone know how can I read the faults codes of this car? Maybe we can see what airbag have the issue to solve it. I don't want to try with different software without information that works, because sometimes you can damage the ecu of the car.

Just a tip - DO NOT TRY TO USE AN OBD2 CODE READER on a 500e. It's a proprietary plug and the software is different. There are stories of people having to tow their car to the dealer and shell out $$ to make things right again after trying to use an gas engine style code reader.

There is a thread on the "other forum" warning that you must have certain software and cables to talk the car, else you risk messing up your car. Apparently on a 500e that is not a standard OBD-II port.
