Fiat 500 to be all electric by 2022?

I saw a post that comes from a UK auto magazine, the says both will be faster and more luxurious. I not happy about that.

When you put aside any bias for gas powered 500's because you already own one, there is definitely business merit in the process of taking an existing design and just converting it to electric. Besides, if you just took the admittedly-anecdotal evidence of checking posts on this very site, you would see a ratio of far more pleased enthusiasts about living with the 500e, than gas powered 500's. Fiat has had pretty good luck with their electronics and control systems on the 500e. Going forward, if they can take advantage of the new battery developments, then two thirds of the work in developing a full-on EV line has already been done. Most manufacturers are forced to start with a clean whiteboard.

I took a 2016 out for a test drive the other day. Everything felt great until around 25mph and up, where the motor just felt like it was stuck in a lower gear, if that makes sense, almost as if it were reving too high? And, if they could get up to 120 miles per charge, WITH A.C., that would really help sales, now that the new Leaf has upped its game...

There in-lies challenge.. 120 miles range at 60MPH+? How about 120 miles 55 MPH but 20 miles of that climbing a 6% grade with ambient air temperature at 94 degrees F? There are literally endless variables that affect electric cars. Ultimately I believe EV manufacturers need to be forced to publish realistic miles per charge claims. '120 miles at 30 MPH average speed, level road, sea level, 70 degrees F.'
