The Crosstrek is as exciting as a crossover can be. Its comfortable and works. I did a muffler delete, but the drone on the highway was so bad, I had to revert back to stock. I really miss my fiat. Now that I have the Trek, I see 500Ts and Abarths everywhere.

Hi everyone I've been a little MIA (at least posting wise. I'm always doing spam patrol behind the scenes ) lately as my laptop crapped out a few weeks ago and I've been using my phone while I waited for cyber Monday. LOL

We put a Nameless exhaust on my son's 2012 Impreza. We went with the muffled system and I think it is about as loud as you can go from inside the car standards. Outside sounds good and not obnoxious.

If he was more experiences driver, it would be cool if he was able to handle a WRX, but I would be too worried for him. I'll probably always be like that. Then again, if he had a WRX I'd wind up spending tons of money on his car !

Sounds like it might be related to being a parent and you may be incurable. I'm still struggling with finding the perfect car for our new driver (close niece, not daughter). Her requirements are "Small, 3-pedals, under $4k" Fun and cool are on the nice to have list. I really like the idea of a Sentra SE-R but I know nothing about Nissans.

    Car shopping rambling:

I'd love to get into a WRX myself but they don't seem to depreciate in the salt belt. Something something snow, something something symmetrical AWD, you know the drill. Now that you can get AWD in affordable cars from almost any brand I would have expected them to fall in price a bit. Frankly buying new doesn't sound that bad but no more wagons.

Speaking of AWD Wagons... I finally got around to test driving a VW Alltrack. I hate to admit how much I liked it. It's a damn shame they were never able to put a diesel in that car, but the 1.8T is a fine engine and makes enough power to be entertaining if you let APR tune it. Ride quality is great but my old Passat wagon handled like a racecar compared to it. That's my biggest disappointment.

It feels like selling out to buy an Alltrack over the Veloster N, I only really needed wagon utility 3 times this last summer. On the other hand, I only made it out to AutoX once and any time I was on fun twisty roads I was on a motorcycle. On top of all that this might be the last chance to get a Volkswagen wagon. (Even if it's not I think the mkVIII Golf looks frumpy)

There's a 6MT SE in Great Falls Green over Brown near me... If it's still available when I sign my next job, I'll most likely buy it the next day. Change my mind?
