    AST suspesnion impressions?

    Hello all,

    So, I think I have narrowed down my goals for my Abarth and handling is at the top of the priority. I am researching some parts right now and have already purchased some braces and a rear torsion bar. However, my shocks are in rough shape (OE) and I want to use this as my opportunity to replace with some coilovers.

    I saw the AST kit and was wondering if anyone had them out there that could weigh in on their ride quality, performance, etc...? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    I dont have personal experience with them, but when I was back in the bmw e30 game, the AST's were the gold standard/holy grail of coilovers for the e30 325 and bmw e30 m3. I know this doesn't really help in our fiat case as its comparing apples and oranges... but it's the most I know about the ASTs. I have my eibach springs and konis all around and it transformed the car. So if you are looking at a dedicated track setup with some sticky tires, you will be miles ahead of the oem setup. As you mentioned though, make sure to get the rear bar and chasis braces.

    I appreciate the input. I ended up with a set of Bilstein PSS coils that I picked up locally for dirt cheap. Rocking the tuner life on a budget over here!
