the telltale Chrysler starter problems, plus some expected bonuses (2012 500 Sport)

Alright so, Ill have a video down below with my crappy GoPro camerawork, but in any case to my problems.

My car is a 2012 fiat 500 Sport, N/A, and is a 5 speed manual, (literally) 48,000 miles on it, and just changed the oil.To keep in mind, it has a new battery (one of the new gel type ones, ill give name on request and its 8 months old), and is completely stock, and I take good care of it for being my daily driver in the Midwest, and I love it like the go-cart it is.

A short rundown of whats wrong for people with not much time for me to ramble on forever.

    (1) Starter motor sticks, making a supercharger noise
    (2) Battery light is on and throttle control light sometimes flickers (eek!)
    (3) Loose all power steering when at idle/ moving slowly

So the biggest one for me is that every time ill start the car, there is a chance that the starter motor will stick and stay engaged on the flywheel, and went away after a few minutes of idling, that threw up flags for me, but It went away for a couple of months, so I thought nothing of it. Now it happens every time and doesn't go away after a minute of idling, and is there the entire time the motor is running, tried turning it off an on again, checking the solenoid/ exchanged it with another one, still happens.

Im now at the point to where ill cough up the 80$ for an above OEM starter, or ill take it apart and do the repair myself, and I don't know what to choose to do about it, I'm not afraid to do work on my own car and I don't take my cars usually to the mechanic, (only for tires and balancing).

and now for the bonuses that my car has thrown at me, the throttle control light flickers at me, and i have no check engine light whatsoever, and when ever I stoped, I loose all powerstering (not that the car is heavy Is just surprising when I'm reversing) and I believe its electric assisted (correct me if I'm wrong), so I also maybe have bad wiring or a bad alternator.

Your car is only as good as its driver, just because you got 300+hp, doesnt mean you know how to use it

I had this happen when I swapped a solenoid out on a Ducati. I think it was that I had connected the smaller wire from the start button up to the wrong terminal by mistake, and the starter continued to run. Go over your wiring again.

I may be wrong in describing my situation’s details, and will look for my notes on how it was miswired tomorrow.

    UPDATE*

alright so I took apart the starter, cleaned it up/ re greased it, and it worked the same, so I went out and got a new one for $65 and that problem persists, I double checked my wiring and that was correct, then I noticed something, I went to charge my battery (because of the battery light) and I noticed that the battery was almost completely dead, so I went to check the alternator, and while the car was running, I saw that it was only outputting 12.5 V, and 12.5 at the battery leads, (I know its normaly 13.5-14.8 V).

So did I lose my alternator or is there a voltage regulator gone bad (does even have one?), I looked at alts and its gonna run me $141 for a 120 amp version.

How difficult is it to replace? whole front bumper assembly or just a wheel and some other parts?

You should be seeing at least 14V on the battery when the car is running, so yes, you need a new alternator. It's a pain to replace. You need to remove the passenger side CV axle, which means a new spindle nut is required.
