2012 Fiat 500 sport "All key lost' Issue.

Hello. I have a 2012 Fiat 500 sport with an all key lost issue that I need help programming with. I am having a crank, no start issue and I am positive it has to do with the key. Currently the one key that I have "not original" is able to mechanically lock / unlock doors and crank the engine. The fob, however, is not able to lock / unlock the doors using push button and the engine cranks but will not start. The alarm is going off constantly and blinking lights. I have been doing research and I know that I will need to somehow re-program the BCM with a new key for this issue to resolve. I live in Stockton, Ca and would be willing to pay for this programming issue to get resolved. I will do anything to avoid dealing with the dealer! Any help is appreciated.

You will have to find a specialist automotive locksmith OR go to the dealer.

I want to avoid going to the dealer as much as possible. They have a tendency to find other **** that they think is wrong with the car to pump up the invoice. Every locksmith in my area wont touch a FIAT. Id rather pay someone who can guide me to do it myself if possible. Ive researched the web and I know that Eeprom and another device downloaded can be used to program the BCM. A step by step guide to me doing it myself would be great. Willing to pay through paypal for someone that can guide me through entire process. I am a mechanic and know how to solder.

I thought with the 2012 that you had to replace the BCM, it can't be programmed to new keys, and that is fixed with the 2013.

Ive heard of ways around it. Takes some programming knowledge tho which I dont have. Ive read posts about using Eeprom to fix but need a step by step guide on how to do it myself.

There is a guy in Fresno, Ca named Guieseppe that posts on here who says he knows how to fix this very problem. Trying to get a hold of him.

On the surface, this looks like more trouble than just going to the dealer and getting it over with. Did you talk to the dealer and see what they said or give you an idea of the $$?

I spoke with two dealers and got the same response. Pretty much, once the original key is lost and the alarm goes of the BCM becomes "Locked" The dealers said they would need to order a new BCM with new keys and program them to each other and to the car itself. The price is stupid high which is out of the question. Not to mention whatever else they lie to me about that would need to get fixed. I have done quit a bit of research on this subject and spoke to many locksmiths and it seems that it can be resolved with the right tool / software and programming. I have one key for it but its not locking / unlocking the car using the fob. I could buy a new BCM and new key but would still be needing someone to program it. In any case the dealer is pretty much out of the question for me. Any suggestions?

This is correct on '12 and '13's, you're screwed. The new BCM will have to be proxy aligned with the ECU and other electronics which only the dealer can do.
