Service airbag and parking brake warning

Anyone else seen this happen? Did a google search and a couple things came up on Jeep Renegade forums. Reminds me when my front wheel chewed up the sensor on the front left strut (shop that lowered it put sensor on wrong). On that one the ABS and tire sensor warnings went off. So this could probablt be anything. Taking it in Friday or Monday.

Did you try the brake service mode? Its in the settings menu. Could be that your electronic parking brake is partially binding.

    Settings>>>Safety/assistance>>>Brakes>>>Brakes service mode

Have you figured out why your lights are coming on? I have a 2016 500x Lounge and i have been fighting the same problem since last summer. Taken it to the dealer 4 times now for the same problem. Just had it in last week when my dealer called and said pick up your car we are no longer a Fiat dealer and we cannot do any warranty work on it anymore. You have to go to a different dealer and they will start the process all over again to figure this out, sorry. They have had it since June 28th. Now I have an appt at another dealer scheduled for next week, but I can't drive the car the way it is because the seat belt warning bell is constantly going off while driving. I saw your video, that is how mine started then additional warning lights started coming on and then the bell is going off now. Can't turn the radio up loud enough to drown that noise out. LOL

So i added a video and the quality is horrible but you get the idea and what lights that are on. Service air bags, service brake system, the parking brake light, the seat belt light and at some point the park assist light was unavailable. This randomly goes on while driving or sitting in park, the dealer has already replaced a seat belt module, flashed the PCM and TCM with updated software and cleared the codes numerous times. i have already called Fiat Cares and opened a case. I love the car, but if this keeps up Fiat may have to buy it back. P.S. this only happens when its above 45 degrees F, this does not happen when its really cold outside.

SteelBee, that sounds like the same problem mine is having. It did it once since I posted this but went out right away. When I posted this, the service writer said that I needed to bring it in while it was doing it to make it easier for them to diagnose.

This past Friday when I was driving home from work, I thought about stopping for an oil change since Freakout is coming up. Then decided to just go home and do the oil change next week. As i was leaving the parking lot all the warnings came on again. I had to listen to the seatbelt chime for 30 minutes while i made my way to the studio. A couple of the other lights went off except the parking brake warning. What i noticed is when i'd hit traffic backup, the seatbelt lights would come back on. So then the chime would start up again. The only light that was on once I made it to the dealership was the parking one. The service writer wrote up the ticket and read the car for codes. I knew as soon as they shut the car off that the codes wouldn't be there next time. They started looking at it on Monday so I haven't heard back. I'm having them look at other warranty stuff while it's in there (side mirror caps not installed tightly, lumbar support switch not working, and i have the seat pipping issue where the white plastic cord is coming out of the driver seat).

You mention the temperature. I was thinking that a couple of the times that the alerts went off that it was hot outside, car parked in work parking lot, or I was in traffic on a hot day...but one morning it did it and it as cooler out, so not thinking that caused it. I'd have to say in the last few months it's only happened about 5-6 times and it was all of a sudden. I didn't change anything on the car or have any other service done.

One thing I didn't capture in video was the seatbelt light on the right going on/off. The airbag light did go off and the parking brake stayed on the whole time.

Here are a couple photos of different lights:

another video if you can stand to listen to the chimes..... a little better quality, I had been driving for about 10 minutes at this point when the lights started going. At the end of the video all the lights except one turn off and the chime stops.

i have several videos of the lights, just some of the lights on, all the lights on, some with chimes, some without chimes, any combination you want i probably have it on video. lol

This guy says clean the connector on the seat belt pretentioner under the seat. It gets gunked up over time. He's showing you on a Mazda but the principle is the same. I remember my MS3 gave me random airbag chimes after 8 years. I never did clean the connector.

SteelBee, did they try checking or replacing the battery? I've gotten two comments about low battery might be causing it so when I contact the tech I'll ask.
