500 pop evap purge solenoid Hey

My check engine light is on, and the service shop did a smoke test. The evap purge solenoid is the cause.

Where is this located? I was told it’s easy to replace. Going on a long trip, and afraid my shop wouldn’t be able to get me back in. So I’m looking to do it myself.

    Is this the part?

I just went through this with my car. Turned out the wires were broken going to the connector. I discovered this when I was replacing this part. It's an easy part to replace. It's located behind the intake manifold. Just remove the air intake and it's right next to the firewall.

Does the intake manifold have to be removed?

I have a 2015 pop, my air intake is in the front of the car.

Looking online it shows two different style parts for the evap purge valve. DO you happen to know which one I would need?

Sorry, very new to working on my own stuff..

    Thank You

I have a 2012 pop, not sure if it’s the same setup. No the intake manifold doesn’t need to be removed. It’s the air intake plastic box that has to be removed. It’s held on by 3 10mm.bolts. https://goo.gl/images/17oNpM

Hmm after doing some research it looks like they changed the design of the purge valve.
