    After run coolant pump

Hey everyone. I've dug around doing research on the after run coolant pump. I know why it runs, how it runs, and what parameters initiate its operation. What I dont know is how to tell if mine works correctly. I've owned the car for three weeks and for the first two weeks I heard it run nearly everytime I shut off the vehicle. For the last week I haven't heard it run at all and it's been 80+*F outside. Is there a way to diagnose and confirm it has not malfunctioned?

I think some of it has to do with how hard you have run the car. If you come off like the interstate and shut it off your probably gonna hear it. If you've just been running around town you may or may not hear it. Can you check it some how. Not sure on that.

If I let my car sit for between 30 seconds - 1 minute, it won't run the pump when I turn off the car. If I park the car and immediately turn it off, it'll run every time.

Exactly. Hard runs with immediate shutoff, means the pump will turn on. It is always best to have a Turbo Timer. Letting the engine cool down, will give your turbo more life to live.

Get a Turbo Timer. Doesn't have to be super expensive or high tech. All you need, is for it to initiate a cool down time when you shut off the engine.

Here's the detailed install instructions of ANY Turbo Timer:
