    Type of oil to use in a 500X?

    What type of oil should be used in my partners 500X Lounge with the upgraded 2.4 engine??
    synthetic or regular oil?

    Pennzoil synthetic 0W-20 has always been used in mine.

    2.4L Engine Oil
    SAE 0W-20 API Certified Engine Oil, meeting the requirements of Material Standard MS-6395 such as MOPAR, Pennzoil, and Shell Helix. Refer to your engine oil filler cap for correct SAE grade.
    Capacity: 5.5 Quarts/5.2 Liters
    2016 FIAT 500X Plus - Magnaflow #19279 Exhaust (not worth it), now custom dual tips - 18" Matte Black Forgestar F14's - AEM Intake (not worth it) - Madness Lowering Springs (1st gen red ones..think newer purple ones go lower)

    For those of us who grew up on Castrol 20-50; that viscosity just don't sound RIIITE My, how times have changed!!!

    You should use 0W-20. 0W-20 is only available in synthetic.

    My 2.4L = 7500 mi

    Castrol Edge

    No oil consumption
    2016 Fiat 500X Easy/nero cinema
