So many Fiats honoring a crappy town in Illinois.

I was asked once, knowing what I know now about my inlaws, if I would do it all over again. I said "no, I would have married an orphan."

I have a 1992 Tightwad Edition Capri. It's named for a town in Missouri and the fact that I'm too cheap to spend money on it.

Looks much better, but when I see them doing a whole bunch of color versions, it reminds me of the stagnation in the Fiat 500 where for ages they would make no real changes and try to just slap some special editions out to make them seem like they are staying up to date.

I'd love to see real changes implemented, like a new electric boosted turbocharger that are all the rave now, where they have a little motor that can boost the impeller at really low RPMs.

I mean, the 1.4 Multiair turbo is now a, what, 12 year old engine for the 2019 model? And with the only truly non-cosmetic difference between the Miata and the Fiat being the powerplant, why wouldn't I as a consumer just pick the newer 2019 Miata with the Skyactiv-X engine, which is a more advanced design?
