    My 2013 500e build - Final Chapter

It is with heavy heart I tell you all that "Buzz" and I have been involved in an accident. It happened Feb, 7, where a woman Driving an Acura decided to pull out into traffic right in front of me. I swerved to miss but Buzz's right front met up with her left front. Although it doesn't look that bad, the appraisal from the body shop was over $7k so the other driver's insurance carrier is planning on totalling out the car.

    Oh, that sucks !!!

Suggest you make a deal to retain the vehicle with a parts/salvage title. Then sell off the good stuff like the inverter, charger, batts, and interior.

Did that when a similar scenerio happened to me 20 years ago with a BMW. I took $500 less in the payout to retain the ownership, and made a killing on it. If I remember correctly, think the engine alone got me 8k.

Sorry this happened to you, but you have been presented with an opportunity to exploit if you wanted to.

If you haven't already I would highly suggest deleting or editing all references to your removed safety equipment. The other drivers insurance can and will deny covering anything on your car if they have a smart enough insurance adjuster.
