Why don't I get email notification of replies in posts?

I have the box checked off for instant email notification of replies but I never get them. And yes I checked the spam folder.

Hi,

I checked the settings and everything looks normal. I made an adjustment on something so let me know if that helps. It is possible that the emails get blocked by your ISP.

Anyone else who is having the issue let me know. Thanks!

Maybe just a delay but not a significant issue now.

I appreciate the feedback. Account activation, lost passwords and other vital emails are sent instantly, but subscription emails are processed in batches to lessen the load on the server. The batches are sent every ten minutes. A certain number of emails makes up each batch and there is a 2 second delay between each email sent. This can all add up to delays depending on how many emails are being processed at the time. I've been testing the system and although I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't perform 100% all the time, it seems to work so far.
