Post Register Today for FIAT on the Dragon Spring event April5-8

It is time to start making plans to head back to the Tail of the Dragon and the Devil's Triangle for some FIAT fun. This year we are also doing Alfas on the Dragon on the same weekend and hope to start something for the Alfas guys that they will enjoy. Please feel free to share experiences and help get the word out. We hope to have close to 200 cars this year and have even invited our French car cousins to join us for a Saturday "Cars on the Field" event.

This is the most fun you can have in your FIAT or Alfa Romeo and this year is going to be bigger and better than ever. Will FIAT USA show up this year? Who knows, need to come to find out #wherewereyouFIAT

    REGISTER HERE TODAY!

Wow, that Verde Metallizzato Lancia Scorpion brings back memories. I owned one exactly like that in the early 80s. Man, I miss that car!

First timer here. Registered my ‘16 500t and recently ordered an ST rear bar. Driving down from NY for the event with a friend. We look forward to meeting others and exploring these roads I’ve heard so much about. Naturally, I have a few comments/questions:

I saw the Townsend camping recommendations on the FOTD website but wanted to ask if anyone has recommendations for campsites outside of Townsend. $45/night for a tent site in Townsend is a bit overkill... Friend and I enjoy the outdoors and hope to find a low-key campsite at a reasonable price.

I have access to a GoPro but no mount. Any DIY tips for a simple and relatively sturdy GoPro mount?

Have the veteran FOTDers noticed any decrease in the amount of tractor trailers that pass through? I understand we ultimately can’t control who drives on those roads, but maybe LEOs have taken note?

Nonetheless, I’m pumped for this and I look forward to a fun weekend.

Any of the campgrounds in the area will be pretty nice. I have not personally camped in the area so I cannot say from experience.

Amazon has a slew of good mounts for GoPro, try there for some options.

This time of year, there is less traffic on the roads we love. This is one of the main reasons we do the event early in the season. I have never had an issue with tractor trailers this time of year, we should be fine.

Great to hear that you are going to join us, it is a very memorable weekend and I cannot wait.
