    Can someone explain steps for battery reset after idiot lights on dash go nuts?

    Actively looking for a 500e and gaining as much knowledge as I can. I know the 12v battery tends to throw idiot lights and refuse to start sometimes when battery is going bad, but for the life of me I can't find the rest procedure in a search here, or utube video that has been mentioned. Saying "do a reset" means nothing if you don't know the procedure...

    "Doing a reset" means disconnecting (and reconnecting) the 12V battery to force the electronics to restart. The procedure is here:

    The car's software is buggy and could get stuck in a bad state. Turning the car on and off isn't enough to reset it. The electronics run off the 12V battery, and disconnecting/reconnecting it is like completely restarting a computer.
