    subwoofer install

Was able to find a beats sub and amp for my 13 with the alpine system. I've found lots of data on adding this, but can not find out much about how the beats sub is mounted to the car. Can anyone go into detail on this, pics would help.

    Thanks!

    Hi sgennuso,

From what I remember.. it is pretty straight forward.

    1. You replace the amp with the beats amp.
    2. You take apart the left side of the trunk. You will find a plug that is tucked away under the carpet probably:

    3. The beats sub goes mounted with 3 10mm nuts. You can see the mount points on the picture above.

    4. You mount the beats sub.

    5. You install the actual cover.

    6. The carpet that goes in the trunk is different on the cars that have the beats sub. It is smaller to accommodate the beats sub. You might have to purchase this on eBay or directly from Mopar.

I’m thinking I may need to do this as well. Where’d you get the beats sub and amp from?
