I was looking to stiffen up my mounts a little, and I was a bit surprised by the lack of available engine/trans mounts for these cars. I didn't want to pay $40 for a little plastic bushing, so I decided to fill some factory mounts instead. I was able to get a torque arm and motor mount pretty cheap on ebay (polyurethane fill takes about a week to cure fully and I didn't want my car to be out of commision), and I used loctite pl polyurethane roof and flashing adhesive to fill them. All in all I spent only a bit more than I would have on a torque arm insert, and I've got both mounts done in solid polyurethane.
I'm really happy with the results. Throttle response feels noticeably more responsive and direct. Shift feel is very positive and the shifter feels way more solid. There is some minor nvh under under 1.5-2k but other than that the car feels nice and smooth, just more connected to the motor (granted I've had poly/solid mounts on previous cars so I'm a bit used to nvh). I daily the car and it's still perfectly comfortable for getting around, but feels noticeably more connected to drive.
I forgot to take photos while I was doing them, but I've got my stock mounts sitting around so I think I'll fill those and take some pictures of the process along the way. I'll probably be selling those as well if anyone is interested in trying these out.
