I think the red,white and black color scheme looks sharp. Even the tail light is getting in on the act. Nice look.

Looks good!! Can't wait to see the mirror cap post. Since mine came with red mirror caps I'm wanting to go gray and then the part on the bottom of the bumper I painted red would go back to gray too. Wish used parts for X's would start hitting ebay. If I keep the red i was tempted to do a red dash. Next right up should be on how to remove the dash panels. Doesn't look as easy as on the 500.

I think the white/black offers a nice blank slate on which to customize. However, I gar-on-tee there are folks who would drive that red trim home and Plasti-cote it in black just to get rid of the red!!! Some people just like to tinker!

Our boring silver Elle doesn't really benefit from much adornment...one of the reasons I bought it that way!

Thanks. It was a tough choice. Thought about a bright metal finish, too, but there are red accents in the interior and I thought the red would tie in better.

Thanks Andy! I think one of the reasons it has been a little slow seeing used covers showing up on eBay is that there is definitely a knack to removing them if you want to sell or reuse the covers. There is more skill needed to remove the 500X covers compared to a regular 500. Probably need to do it at least once to get the hang of it without breaking a tab or attachment clip. I have a light touch with trim and even I managed to break a locating tab. I'm sure I can do a better job now that I've done it once. That is why in the How-To I posted, I tried to give as much info on where all the tabs are located. I think if someone follows the guide they'll have a heads up on where everything is. Just take your time.

Looks great! I’ve got the same car. Been debating on getting the red. After seeing it on yours, I’m sold! Funny one of the previous comments mentioned plasti-dip. I’d thought about using red plastic-dip in both locations as a test run before ordering the actual trim. That way at least if I didn’t like it I wouldn’t be out the cost, or forced to dealing with removing the accessories.
