Plastidip red.. in my endless pursuit to eliminate chrome.

Looks cool! What I've wanted to do is have the door handles (and the black plastic on the mirrors) painted body color, but I'm not having any voluntary paintwork done until such time that I have an Abarth spoiler to put on the hatch. The rest of the chrome doesn't really bug me, but on the door handles it does for whatever reason.

I agree. The door handle chrome is an odd accent choice on the side of the car that has no other chromey bits.

What about using black vinyl wrap on the chrome?

The wrap would probably hold up, but wrapping leaves you with a seam which could be a weak point. I was able to just tape around the handle and do like 6 coats of red. Plus not having to remove any hardware is good in my book.

So how do ya'll get plastidip to hold on the inside of the door handles. Not having much luck with it myself.

Just gotta find a way to spray back there. It takes SKILLZZZ.....
but then again it STILL peels off after a few good yanks. Just not the place for dip... hence my handles are no longer dipped.

Wonder if a guy can find just covers for the door handles in the flat black or grey color reasonable. Yea I looked on the vendors sites already.
