knocking sound when i make turns - 2012 Fiat 500 Sport

Thank you. It's going back to the mechanic hopefully this week or next. paid 550 for the things we THOUGHT it was (that the mechanic said it was). So thanks to you guys - going to tell him to check out the strut mounts and bump stops.

Hi there! What was the issue then? I think I have the same problem with my car. Replaced the whole front suspension and both axles, and the noise is still there.

Did they replace the struts and not replace the strut mounts? That is seriously dumb if they did that and they should eat the cost on replacing the mounts. The bump stops should also likely be replaced.

I took my Fiat to get the brake pads and rotors and the stabilizer link replaced. that's what my mechanic said would stop the knocking noise.

and i still hear it...when making turns or when driving over bumps.

anyone have experience with this on their Fiat?

If the other answers here don't lead you in the right direction, go listen to bad CV Axle sounds/CV Axle symptoms and see if it's that. Your car drifting to a side more than normal?

LOL Friggin Mechanics!! I had a sound, which I thought was the Clutch.

NAPA said, nah, it's your brakes, bruh! I said ::sigh:: fine...do the brakes. (for friggin $900 (I *knew* the pads/plates were going before I went in.....but I still had time on them))

Got the car back with new brakes....drove it like 25 ft from the parking lot and heard the sound. Took it right back, "Oh...it IS the clutch. That'll be another $$$" /Facepalm
