Cool Should I trade up my 2012 Fiat 500 Sport?

It's driving me crazy. I have a Fiat 500 Sport in white. I love it. Bought it used for 12k in 2014 and at that time it had 24k miles. As of the present - Aug of 2017 - i just made 30k miles. I really use it to tool around as I also have a truck. I put some money into it to change out break pads (front and rear), Brake rotors (front and rear) and stabilizer link. I am about to replace the stock Conti's w/Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires ($600 investment there). It's got some dings on the front and rear bumper due to my FIL driving it. But it looks great despite the dings - they just irritate the EFF outta me. Body work will cost 3k to fix which kills me.
Question - please help me: Do I trade this in for a newer year? Will i get much for it? I am debating this before putting new tires and fixing body work.

    Thanks!

Boom.. Now ya can't see the dings! fiat bra.jpg
$3000 is quite a bit of bodywork. As much as I am against the 'disposable car' mentality, the best option for you might be trading it in for a newer one if the current cosmetic damages are a dealbreaker.

If all that is bothering you is the bodywork than maybe took a look around to see if there are places that will do it cheaper (while still doing a good job of course). I know when I traded in my 2014 500 Sport for a 17 Abarth it was because i wanted more than what I had...I wanted the 1.4 Turbo, red leather seats, digital dash and entertainment system...basically something a lot racier.

But if the Sport is still meeting all your needs, other than the bodywork affecting your OCD, I'd say just fix that up and dont bother with a new one.

Roll Tide! Thank you. It's just the cosmetic...it sucks bc the whole bumpers have to be replaced. no way around it.
It meets all my needs tho. And i don't have car payments, if i trade up, i will go back to car payments

I haz alot to think about.

If I wasn't having mechanical problems or other problems than some 'dinged' bumpers, I wouldn't have to think long...NO WAY...get used bumpers in good shape from a junkyard, have them painted to match and replace the 'dinged' ones. YMMV

I wouldn't do it especially since your car still has low mileage on the odometer. I agree with the poster who said that you could get some used bumpers and paint them if it bothers you that much.

Is there something special that you want that a newer model has but yours don't? In that case, it might be worth thinking about. Otherwise, I'd keep my car.
