And to make things even harder, there are a lot of grey-market 308's for sale, so you have to be very careful. (Cars that were made from parts from scrapped 308's)

My friend with three Ferrari's taught me that you should always require the factory build sheet for any used Ferrari for sale and to check the serial numbers to ensure the major components are all part of the original car. Examples that I've seen where the GT package (for example) wasn't on that car from the factory. I've asked private sellers if they don't have the build sheet would they consider ordering one from Ferrari? The response is usually crickets. Seems like only brokers who deal in super cars or real classics will generally be willing to comply.

Reviving a pretty old thread, but still - has anyone noticed how inexpensive a two-year-old Alfa G is these days, with options and low miles? Why wouldn't people be jumping all over these - is the brand in the same or worse trouble in the U.S. than FIAT?

No, it's not trouble. You have to remember, Alfa is not an established brand in the US. Most people can't even say or spell the name correctly. Plus, the dealers are scattered around in only certain locations. The cars are a big mystery to 99.9+% of the population so it is almost pointless to compare sales at this moment.

The cars are awesome and they are steals. A Giulia Sport with Quadrifoglio trim cues is about as cool as they come.

Well, I can't afford the Q, but a G with Ti and multiple options, and less than 15k is going for 25 - 30K. Now I'm confused...lol. Can't I have BOTH an Abarth and an Alfa
