Hello,
My wife has a 2014 Lounge with the DDCT. Over 54,000 km (approx 33500 miles). Other than oil changes and recalls, she had one front end link replaced thanks to our famous Montreal potholes and a sticky outside driver side door handle. Both repairs under warranty. The car has been rock solid otherwise and fits our family needs perfectly. We have two car seats in the back with enough room for my wife to sit in between if the kids get fussy. My wife couldn't be happier.
My parents have a 2014L Lounge as well with the DDCT. Although he has only had it since last December with roughly 20,000 miles on it, the car has been running fine. He only paid it $11,000 Canadian as the Kia dealer was clearing out inventory before the end of the year....couldn't beat that price so they jumped on it.
I loved the 500L so much that I bought a 2013 Abarth last fall with 28,000 miles on it. Although it was stored all winter, this car too has ran perfectly. Either my family and I have very good luck or Fiat's are not as unreliable as the media claims.

A lot of people like information for various reasons. My reason is because I have a lot of health issues, and I want to make sure before I buy. That way if something happens to me my wife can continue to use the vechicle in confidence. I have been a mechanic for over 47 yrs, retired now. As far I am concerned there are no useless questions or posts a question. Perhaps posters that like to trash others will feel different when they grow up, and realize how important sharing information is.👍 5- Top

wow someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed clearly.... anyways
I have a 2014 lounge fully loaded 6 speed manual.
Been great so far I got it used for $13,000 CAD with extended manufactures warranty. Currently at 41,000 Kms. (pretty low) and all I needed to change was the front brakes and rotors. back ones going out soon too. I guess the previous owner was pretty hard on the brakes) Sometime this summer though ill be needing to go to my local dealer to address the groaning in reverse issue, when I took it for service a few days ago the service tech acknowledge the sound, at first he said it was normal! I was convinced to showed him otherwise. So later on when the time is available it will be getting that repair done. I'm just hesitant on "rocking the boat" and then later on my car might have many issues once the engine is opened up...hopefully not! But like I said, love the car, would not trade it for anything else👍 1- Top

I have a 2015 Urbana trekking with 34,000 rough miles on it. So far, the tail gate latch has been replaced (needs it again) last year, one of the 500 emblems in the headlight popped out, and one the dash vents has broken. It's almost through its second set of tires (which I replaced in February), and yeah, that's what I get for using it for work!- Top

Elle was born in 2015 as a Lounge. Now 25 months old, she is due for her 32,000 mile get-together for fresh oil, etc.
Still some goofy gremlins in the radio;but nothing serious or debilitating to make us like her any lessCurrent vehicles:

2013 Volvo C70 Caspian Blue

2014 Trekking with 65,000 miles. 6 speed man tranny. Previous owner had the turbocharger replaced, and the front brake pads and rotors. I just did the rear pads, which probably could have gone another 10k or so but I didn’t want to be replacing them in the winter.
Great car for $5,800! I had to spend about $1,000 for new Nokian tires, new floor mats, all fluids and filters, and a headlight to replace one that suffered a minor impact resulting in cracked mounting tabs. So I have a car that was on the road for 3 years and one month before I purchased it, it has satnav and all the goodies, and is like new for under $7k total!
Couldn’t be more pleased with this car or my ‘12 500 Pop that is sleeping for the winter!- Top

Still, it’s sometimes entertaining to read what other people on this fine forum have done to their cars. For a fictional example: a guy who puts 90,000 miles on his car and goes through 8 batteries and finally figures out that his glovebox light never turns off. These sorts of things can be of some interest to someone who is having the same issue at the same mileage.👍 1- Top
