    Cambered Fiat 500T Build

After my recent post about wanting some suspension upgrade recommendations I have been asked by a few individuals to just open a project/build thread in this section of the forum. SO here is the current process of my 2015 Fiat 500T project.

I bought this car two years ago with intentions of doing a little body modification to the vehicle but never expected to reach the point Im currently at. Ive spent a few thousand dollars to get where it is currently at and at this point will be having custom fabrications done for the car as the parts I want are not available for these cars yet.

    Performance Upgrades:
    Eurocompulsion V4.1 Air Intake
    Maxpower ECU from 500 Madness
    Throttle Enhancer from 500 Madness
    Forged Motorsport Blow Off Plate
    Sila Concept Intercooler
    Madness Autoworks Turbo Exhaust

    Suspension Upgrades:
    V-Maxx Coilovers
    Koni Sport Rear Shocks
Madness Autoworks Camber Plates (-6 Degrees Rear, -4.5 Front)

    Exterior Upgrades:
    Avery Matte Purple Wrap
    ESM 002R Gold Chrome Wheels
    Clinched 1.2" Fender Flares

    Interior Upgrades:
NRG Quick release system with Gloss Purple Wheel
    Rear Seat Delete Panel

Im currently working with Eric Macenzie from Madness Autoworks to make the big roof spoiler extention in fiberglass since I dont like carbon fiber. If we cant get one fabricated, im gonna reach out to BattleAero to make a chassie mounted spoiler

Just took the car to the shop to have the Koni Sport Rear Shocks installed and made quite a difference in the rear of the car. The original V-Maxx Shocks were extremely bouncy and would flex enough to just kit the bumpstops. These new shocks still move a bit but made quite a huge difference in the rear ride quality. Now im working with the guys over at Swift Springs to make a 30k Spring set-up for the car so there is no ounce or rebound on the vehicle.

Heres a shot the girlfriend took the other day.

    Hey guys,

Not sure if anyone shares any interest in this car anymore but wanted to give an update on the car.

Car hasnt moved in two months until last weekend. After my big issue is New Jersey after the Cars and Coasters event I discovered a handful of problems. The driver side spring perch had become cracked and allowed me to move the spring by hand which is extremely dangerous and frustrating. Ive had them re-welded with additional support so this won't happen again.

Another issue was that both of the front brake lines busted (Conveniently at the exact same time) due to the brake lines rubbing against the bracket the brake clips sits on. I replaced the whole car with stainless steel brake lines which I want to start by saying was more of a pain in my ass than re-welding the spring perch. I don't know what kind of jenky procedure they use in the plants that make these cars but neither of the lines didn't want to come out leading me to break the hardlines which was an easy fix.

Last un-drivable issue was the V-Maxx springs with coilovers had taken quite a hit. When the shocks blew out in New Jersey and needed to trailer the car home, there was no rear end support except the springs which compressed them to their max. Once the new shocks were installed, the springs would not go back to their original shape which completely dumped the rear end.

However, a majority of all those issues are fixed or in the works right now to be taken care of. Just a word of advice, if you are going to make a show ready car or "stanced" car, expect to have no money ever again.

On a more positive note, I have a ton of stuff happening to this over the winter and this car took its beating for the season. I've been working with a wheel importer from NJ and have a set of three-piece wheels being imported from Russia which I will be re-building over the winter. Ive expecting to run 17x10.5 ll the way around with plenty of body work to follow.

I've also been in discussion with clinched flares from Soviet Russia for a much larger flare set-up then I currently have. I will have the proper set-up this time around and make sure these flares don't get chipped up next year.

Next is a custom order from from BC Racing for a set of BR Series coilovers on 22k/18K springs so we wont have the nightmare I experienced this year again.

Last is a potential partnership I will be making with the guys over at KPMF who is a newer wrap manufacture here in the United States. If we choose to go forward, we will be going with quite a crazy color to make sure the Fiat community is in everyone's sight.

Again, I dont know if anyone cares much about this car anymore but I am extremely excited to get this moving forward. Hope to hear from everyone soon.
