How would you know what to adjust the oil dip stick length too? Theres nothing wrong with the OEM dip sticks on cars. Just be sure to check you oil, at every fill up. You cant go wrong!

Easy - just check the oil and if it’s 1/8” low then make the dipstick 1/8” longer and everything will be good again!

I guess if you have to explain a joke twice it can’t have been any good.....

Sorry......I guess, I missed the joke. I have a extendable, fuel tank sending unit gauge. So it looks like Im never out of gas.

As Jimmy Durante said, "It's not the tellin' 'em, it's the explainin' 'em."

I loved the adjustable dip stick. Even saw one on a 1960 Corvair, in 1972. I visited the "Corvair Nut" for a part. "Take a look at this one", as he walked to a car idling in the lot. It's blowing oil past the seals and when I pull the dipstick, it shoots a stream of oil."

Care to guess the cause? (Hint: it was due to "normal" Corvair oil loss.)

I always have to add oil after every 2k miles or so. When I aggressively drive at the top half of the RPM range I smell burning oil all the time otherwise, if driven regularly, no problem.

Have you checked your PCV assembly? When mine started to fail, I was going through oil. I replaced it maybe three years ago and I am hardly consuming any oil since then.
