Ha ha, I think I bitched about it on another thread, but the only thing I could find was the oil filter cap. It was about four or five good turns from snug, no damage to it or anything. I’d had the emissions done on it the previous day and hadn’t driven it since then, so I suspect some shady tech loosened it up in hopes of drumming up some winter business. Can’t prove it, of course. But I cleaned up as much as I could, put a new filter in, filled it up with oil, and haven’t had an issue since...

Finally got to run Road Atlanta, it’s a fast track and some seriously fast cars came out to play. I could keep some of the other guys at bay under braking or through one or two corners, but there’s lots of open space for big horsepower machines to stretch their legs. Lots of ZL1 1LE Camaros, Shelby GT350s, and one big Aston Martin DB11 AMR, all of them in Novice class! Novice was packed too, more entries there than Intermediate and Advanced classes combined. Fun as hell though, I’ll definitely be back (with a GoPro next time).

Next up, gonna try to squeeze in an autocross, another track night, and a rallycross.

The aforementioned ZL1 1LE (there were three of them!):

    A GT350:

    And the DB11 AMR:

Sorry for the watermarks, I only went through and bought what I wanted out of the photographer’s album...

Scooby, so this was a HPDE or track night? That has to be a great track!

Scooby... saw this thread for the first time. Were you able to keep the white wheels for daily?

Definitely! I think most of us who drive have a bucket list of tracks we want to run at some point - Laguna Seca, Road America, VIR, Watkins Glen, etc... well I’ve lived like five miles from Road Atlanta for a decade and never driven it, so this was really overdue.

And yeah I kept my white factory rims. They’ve got my all-season tires on them still so I use them for roadtrips and during the cold months. They’re not in the best shape as far as looks go and I wouldn’t mind tracking them, but it’s tough to find sticky tires in that size and I’ve heard they rub pretty easily if you try a different size.
