CxRacing vs short shot filter kit on Ebay?

So the short shot from here on forum seems to be $80-$90 shipped... And draws from right in front of the windshield. Some seem to say it is overly loud. Some said it may lower torque.

The CXRacing cold air intake looks to be available for about $140 and draws air from the fender well. Have not read opinions on sound from this intake and wonder about it. Doesn't appear to have a bypass installed (one could be added later I suppose) and from Zonkers temperature thread am led to believe heat sink from the engine on the tubes may lessen performance?
Looking for opinions regarding these intakes and vendors.

Seems like each have seperate listings of their same products on ebay at different price points during the same time frame which seems a bit shady to me... Am I missing some detail about a difference between respective products?

So am curious if anybody has used either/both products and what y'all think the best option is for the cost.

Short shot. I see price difference for this now... Turbo vs N/A motor. Funny that turbo filter is cheaper.

    So, did my own.
A search of another forum led me to K&N Filter RA-0720 which appears to be the original filter used in the eBay "Short Shot kit." Instead of running the PCV vent tube into the Filter; I just clamped another $5 Spectre PCV filter on to the hose. There is a secondary hose in place which attaches to the intake plenum from that oil catch on top of the motor. Can't really see a reason for both hoses to be under vacuum.
The K&N was $43 shipped to house.
    PCV filter was about $5.
So less than $50 to do a K&N Filter on Naturally aspirated Fiat 500.IMG_20170306_005724.jpgIMG_20170306_005724.jpg

I will monitor PCV air filter for any oil and if blow by occurs I'll replace it with a hose to the air filter.

Nice tip on the short ram intake Mark...did you have any issues with oil blowby using the pcv Spectre filter instead of routing to the K&N? Thanks again!

Mark's vid inspired me to do the same thing (basically). Found this one on Ebay that costs a couple bucks more...but it uses a tube to vent the blowby back in to the intake stream. I'm not sure how carefully they check for mods in VA when doing an emmissions test, so don't want to chance something that looks too wonky.
