    TheGodfather's 2015 Abarth Build Thread

    Thought I'd get started on my build thread as I've been stockpiling parts for the last few weeks. I purchased my left over 2015 Fiat Abarth on December 9th, 2016 (with only forty miles on the odometer) as a winter / commuter car. The price was far too good to pass up on.

    Standard Equipment;
    - 6-spd Automatic
    - Sun/Moon Roof
    - Black Leather Interior
    - 17" Forged Black Chrome Wheels
    - Beats Audio
    - Blacked-out Lighting
    - Automatic Climate Control

    Also included;
    - Scorpion Rubber Winter Mats
    - Scorpion Valve Stem Caps
    - Abarth Black Chrome License Plate Frame

    I currently have the following mods on the car;
    - 500Madness Autoflash Tune
    - Black Stubby Antenna
    - 500Madness GoPedal (However this item is being returned on Monday...not worth the price tag IMHO)
    - Bob's Red Trunk Strap Handle (from Eurocompulsion)
    - Interior LED Lighting (Which seem to be less bright than the standard halogen bulbs)

    Soon to be installed;
    - Defi Boost Gauge (From Eurocompulsion)
    - 500Madness 6000K HID Low/High Beam Kit
    - LED (7443) DRL Bulbs
    - Abarth 595 Flat Grey Front Emblem
    - Abarth 595 Flat Grey Rear Emblem

    On Order:
    - Magneti Marelli "Track Day" Cat-Back Exhaust System (500Madness)
    - 500Madness Piggyback Tuner (Non-Blutooth)
    - 4C Coilpacks (Eurocompulsion)

    To Be Continued....

    First of all, congrats on the purchase!

    I currently have the following mods on the car;

    The first two things I did to my ABARTH were the stubby antenna and a GoPedal. Still have both of them installed.

    Did you not feel a big difference with it installed or? Fortunately it has a 30 day money back!

    Soon to be installed;
    - Defi Boost Gauge (From Eurocompulsion)
    - 500Madness 6000K HID Low/High Beam Kit
    - LED (7443) DRL Bulbs
    - Abarth 595 Flat Grey Front Emblem
    - Abarth 595 Flat Grey Rear Emblem

    The 595 badges are going to look great on your ABARTH!

    On Order:
    - Magneti Marelli "Track Day" Cat-Back Exhaust System (500Madness)
    - 500Madness Piggyback Tuner (Non-Blutooth)
    - 4C Coilpacks (Eurocompulsion)

    You're going to love it! I have the bluetooth version on my ABARTH.

    Looking good,
    TheGodfather! You thinking of custom wheels in the future?

    Thank you! I feel the difference in throttle response with the GoPedal, but you can simply put your foot down further with the same effect without the GoPedal. I just don't feel it's worth the price tag of $299.00 when that money can be better suited somewhere else (ie; tuner, springs, Konis, etc.)

    Wait for a used one... makes a HUGE difference downshifts/rev matching... but you got a auto.

    Had a little bit of an ice storm yesterday but that shall stop me from modding my Abarth! I'm also still on a high from the Packers defeating Dallas last night (Sorry Dallas folks).

    Anyhoo, I installed my 500Madness 6000K HID kit this morning.

    Standard halogen on the passenger side and the 6000K HID on the driver's side. The kit was a little expensive, but in my opinion it was worth the price simply due to the ease of install.

    Both sides installed.

    The passenger side is a little bit more involved of an installation. I removed a portion of the stock intake and unbolted the coolant overflow reservoir along with the bracket that holds the reservoir tank in place. After that the HID bulb & cap took five minutes to install. In total the 500Madness HID kit took maybe 20-25 minutes to complete. I tried to install my LED 7443 DRL bulbs but my hands are tad too big to do the job with the front wheels still on. I'll just wait till I swap the winter wheels off this spring and throw the bulbs in at that time.

    Moving along to another quick job. I swapped the stock rear emblem for the European 595 Abarth badge. You just need to gently pry the rear badge off with a plastic / nylon pry tool and clean up the residual adhesive that is left behind.

    Car looks great, quick tip...change out the DRL bulbs to NA's, gets rid of the "peach looks" due to the reflection of the orange and white inside the housing, you'll thank me later and its a inexpensive mod too!

    Defi gauge install isn't too bad, and looks amazing with the other gauges.

    Can you post some footage of that exhaust when you get it installed? I'm really curious to hear how it sounds.

    I'll post some sound clips as soon as I get it installed. The idea behind the "track day" exhaust is it'll be quieter during normal driving and then open up into a straight through exhaust when you put your foot down on the throttle.

    Scheduled the Abarth to be tinted this upcoming Monday...Nothing too dark, only going 35% all around. In addition, I'm having a portion of my roof (behind the sunroof) wrapped with gloss black vinyl. I'll post some pics early next week.

    Received my 4C coil-packs from Eurocompulsion today. Just an FYI: Eurocompulsion ships extremely fast and everything I have received from them is wrapped and packaged very well. They're an excellent company to deal with. I'm excited to install these tomorrow afternoon. Next week I'll have the Abarth tinted, wrapped and the Magneti Marelli cat-back exhaust installed. Still waiting on my 500Madness piggyback tuner to arrive.
