Hi friends.
Just thought I would throw this out....I had a rear brake like bulb blow out, on the 500L. I was driving in our current frigid temps and noticed, every so often the word "stop" appeared over the top of the winter/ice icon on the EVIC. So, I'm good at following directions and I stopped in a parking lot.....to my surprise, the stop meant the brake light bulb was blown or not working. I went to Auto Zone found the part number 7528LL and drove on back home. I realized what the #8 allen wrench was for, that came with the car...the two stud allen bolts, holding the rear lense housing in place.....one thing I wanted to note to you all, Is If you go to replace a bulb as I did, be very careful in pulling on the light assembly, while trying to get it out of the body housing, If you are not careful, you will break the small plastic tabs on the chrome piece, attached to the lense.....I almost did that. Once you get the housing pulled, there are two more phillips head screws to pull, then pulling that apart, you finally see your brake light bulb in one hole, and the turn signal in the other. Replace as needed, and put it all back together, done.
Was thinking maybe, this post would help someone else down the road.
