Roof rack solution for FIAT 500c Abarth!

I found a solution to the roof rack problem facing all FIAT 500c owners. You simply need to install "Sudo" rain gutters that a foot kit can latch to. Below are the links to both the necessary attachment plates and the corresponding foot kit and cross bars that make this solution work for the FIAT 500c.

    Sudo Rain Gutters

    FootPack

    Cross Bars

I plan on having this professionally installed on my car as soon as the brackets I ordered arrive. I don't have the confidence to drill into the side of my car. This is the only viable solution I was able to find that enabled the roof rack to be detachable.

I'm glad you seem pleased with your solution. However, may I ask why not go the hitch receiver / rack /trailer route instead of drilling into the structural parts of the car. I have a receiver hitch on my Abarth C and between my bike rack and my rack-n-roll trailer I can carry whatever I need.

Because the hitch rack cannot carry surfboards or snowboards.

That's why I have a rack and roll trailer ..... to carry my 18' kayaks and such. Not my Abarth C but my smart @ Eagle Lake in Acadia National Park a couple of years ago.

I wanted to avoid having to tow a trailer as it would make parallel parking at surfspots in LA difficult

Update*: I found that in order to make this solution work, I will have to bend the rain gutter plates to match the curvature of the side rails. i found a metalshop near me willing to play ball. I will post the outcome of the attempt after completion.
