Has anyone removed the Trekking bumper trim?

A few months ago I plasti-dipped the gray trim on the bumpers of my X to see if I liked it before getting it painted. Now that it's been awhile I've decided I like it. Now I want it professionally done vs plasti-dip. Plus I want more of a satin look or might have them hydrodipped with a slight pattern.

Wondering if anyone has had the bumpers of the X apart to see if all the trim pieces just clip in? I think my red part at the bottom does since I had it 1/2 off when i sprayed it but couldn't get the rest loose from the access I had from the front. Thought I saw someone mention that the other gray trim was riveted in and not clipped. When I was installing my Magnaflow the other weekend I couldn't really see the clips for the rear bumper gray piece.

Yes, some parts are riveted in. I bought the front splash guards and each side have 3 rivets to be nailed in! It was really tight, but I sure hope if accident happens to the splash guards that it will not rip everything along with it. LOL

OH, talking about Plastidip, what's it like to plastidip the parts? Are they durable? Do they chip, peel, fade, or anything? I saw 'em at auto part store and was really interested in trying those out too.

The only issues i've had with the plastidip are that I scratched a little section putting on the new exhaust. It was also cold when I did the bumper even though I used a hair dryer to keep things warm so the final finish wasnt' that great. I do love that it's easy to touch it up if it gets damaged. When I had my Abarth I originally did the front whiskers and that lasted about 2 years. I was about to put another coat on it but ended up finding a black set on eBay. So I went that route. In the spring I'll probably redo or touchup what I currently did.

The X is looking really good, maybe you should enter ROTM! Did you install the exhaust yet?
