I could imagine depending on the shock design some won't get internally damaged by spinning but the the shocks we sold had adjustable valve damping and that could be damaged by spinning the rod as I wrote above.

Either way, I don't know what the inside of the Abarth strut that uses Koni FSD style technology looks like, but it sounds pretty sophisticated and I wouldn't want to gorrilla it with an impact gun. As the manual says internal damage could result that's enough for me.
