Question Bought Falken Azenis-RT615Ks and need some set up advice

    Hey guys,

I am trying to get my car set up over the winter to get ready for autocross/track/mountain trips this upcoming spring/summer.

I have the Falken's on the stock 17s and my modifications include Bilstein coilovers, rear sway bar, and SS brake lines.

I am getting the car corner balanced soon and want to know if any other modifications would maximize my corner balancing experience.

Thanks so much for the help!

Have you done any adjusting of the alignment, camber/caster?

If you're going to autocross with the South Carolina Region SCCA guys, my son in Columbia can help you out, he's very active with the region.

Panic Motorsports, near the airport, do a lot of Miata racing and car prep, they're a great resource for any car work too.

    Hey Robert,

I have not done anything to be able to adjust the alignment.

I have heard of Panic Motorsports before, my buddy takes his Miata up there.

I guess at a minimum it would be good to have an alignment done to make sure the car is set up how it should.

You'll need camber bolts to adjust the front. Since you have coilovers, you'll be running a class where such things are allowed. Shims would be required to aggressively align the rear. Camber bolts run about $25 with installation and alignment needed. I run -2.5 degrees on the front with pretty even wear on Dunlop ZII SS tires over a couple of years. Mostly street use with some autocross. Use 0 toe to sharpen turn-in without destroying your tires' inner edges. Go for close to 0 toe on the rear if you want an active rear end (yes, I know how that sounds ).
