I think its a much better product structure. Much more choices. Hard to tell if you can get a Pop with 6 spd, 1.4T and AWD. Glad I bought the Easy as even with the new trim packages its still a good deal (not to mention going away).

no AWD/manual trans combo for 1.4T. you would need a transmission other than C635 for AWD.

The C635 can be had in AWD, it is just not offered in the 500X. The Renegade can be had with the 1.4TAWD and a manual trans. Right now there aren't enough sales or interest in this powertrain combo to bring it to market.

The best I can tell is no.

I think the hardware could support it, but I don't think the screen supports multi-touch which seems to be a requirement for Andriod auto and Apple Carplay. The only cars from FCA that will support it will be 2017 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger.

Have you seen pricing on extra-cost paint options? The $1,000 paint option for MY2016 to me seems excessive, especially for a car that has such a low base price. Somewhere closer to $500 would be fairly typical for a car in the 500X's price range. Having said that, I guess tri-coat paint has an extra step or two to apply, so it's not your run of the mill metallic paint. Sure looks nice though.

A bit off topic, but relating to 1.4T.

I would not go with M/T for Turbo engine... I made that mistake in my Forte. I am a stick shift lover, yet I must give up for a turbo engines. You loose boost with each shift.

Now, our Trekking + is in service. We got 500L with 1.4T and AT of course. Oh man - it flies.

Therefore, the best for me would be 1.4T or better yet 1.6 or bigger for 500X AWD with AT. Even the 9 speed would be fine as most shifts are quick.

Now, going back to 500X - looks remained the same. As for packages, I wonder if you can select all what you want. What I mean is that for Trekking you had a few packages (I think 6), but you could not combine them... only was could be added. Sad...

The good thing with Fiat is there is a large performance aftermarket, unlike Hyundai/Kia. There is a product, called gofastbits dv+ (It replaces the plastic plunger inside the diverter valve that controls boost pressure with a brass piece), that apparently solves the loss of boost between shifts of the manual tranny, greatly enhancing around town drivability. I will be installing this on my 500 turbo over thanksgiving and will report back on just how noticeable the improvement is, but everyone so far swears it's a huge improvement. I will probably then add it to my X turbo over Xmas. An upgrade like that should make driving a turbo with a stick just as enjoyable as it would be with an automatic. But unfortunately nobody is currently developing these type of products for Hyundai turbos
    2013 Fiat 500T Rosso
RRM rear sway bar, Koni front struts, El Gato front chassis braces, 500Madness GoPedal, NeuF muffler delete, EC V4.1 intake, Gofastbits DV+, RRM lightweight crankshaft pulley, LED interior lights.

    2016 Fiat 500X Pop Arancio
500Madness GoPedal, custom Abarth style exhaust (resonator/muffler delete.), Gofastbits DV+, RRM lightweight crankshaft pulley, RRM Ultimate tuner, LED interior lights.

That is a simple BOV. Does it vent to atmoshpere or back to intake? I am afraid it will not really solve much, it will have a better response, but if ECU calls for BOV to open it will open. To not drop boost you would need a special system that would hold the pressure in the intake. Basically something like another throttle plate that would close and open when you operate gas pedal. But then you would have problems with turbo surging... so not an easy task to do.
Another solution would be to keep gas depressed and let rev limiter to hit. Then dump clutch after shift.

Oh no, there are lots of BOV for KIA/Hyundai. 1.6T and 2.0T are very well supported. There are at least a few valves that replace OEM membrane. FMIC - at least 3 I know of. Generally - lots of things to mod.
