    Adding Nav to Uconnect 5.0

I was just wondering if anyone know if we can add navigation to Uconnect 5.0. I've been eyeing this 500x Easy at a local dealer and it pretty much has everything I want on it except navigation (Easy Collection 5). It mainly has the exterior color I want. The only reason I'm asking because it seems that you can add navigation to a 2016 Abarth that has Uconnect 5.0, so I don't see any reason why we can't add it on ours. I just don't really want to wait for months to get the the perfect packaged 500x.

I don't have an exact answer for you now, but I'm going to be looking into a Radio swap very soon for my Pop which has the most basic radio a car can have... Adding Bluetooth is my mission, but I will also see about getting NAV too, which might involve running an antenna for GPS? I imagine that a steering wheel swap might have to happen as well if I try to keep everything OEM, but will also look at aftermarket options as well.

I am also wondering the same, about enabling a "standard" UConnect 5.0 to have Navigation.

It may jsut be an update, as described on the TomTom website?

I'm pretty sure you can't add navigation to Uconnect 5.0 because it is not a feature on that system. You would need to get the Uconnect 6.5 which has navigation. If you build a 2017 Pop online, there's a package "pop popular" that says "nav antenna input" which is not listed or specified on 2016 models. I would assume that 2016 Easy has the antenna input since it has voice command with bluetooth and sirius XM.

There is no physical difference between the UConnect 5.0 and UConnect 5.0 w/ nav in the Abarth 500, other than the center button saying "compass" or "nav"

I went to the dealer to see if I can change my 3.0 UConnect to a 5.0 for Bluetooth purposes but they said I couldn't because of my computer it's made for that radio only if I put a 5.0 in it wont work, aftermarket radio is better but guess what!! you have to cut the dash and the air vents are right there so be careful and not cut them.
