Help levelling my 500e

Hi Guys,
New to this site with my 500e.

Since lowering the front isn't an option with my driveway (it actually flexes the rubber skirt a bit more than that)...



...I'm going to go the "leveling" route and just drop the rear on cut factory coils.

With 17's and 205/40-17 wheels, I think it'll have to do.
I'll retain OEM shocks but swap to Norcal's bumps.

How many coils do you guys think I should cut?
I'm thinking somewhere between 3/4 of a coil, or 1 full coil.
I don't mind a slight rake if it means my spring rate is more manageable for the OEM shock...but that gap is killing me.

Any insight is most appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! We've got a few 500e owners that have cut down their rear springs and I'm sure someone will pipe up. I know senior member name rnddude did it to his 500e. Love to see more modded 500e models so post up some pics when you can!

It currently looks like any other Granito Lucente 500e LOL
I'll post some pics later this week when my wheels/tires/tint gets installed.

I drilled some pilot holes for an ST rear sway bar today, but it wore me out so I'll have to finish that project next week.
I only had ramps, it's not easy drilling a 1/2 hole thru steel with so little clearance...I should have waited a week and put it up on a lift, would have been way easier.

if you are keeping the front springs stock, start with 3/4 coil cuts and check out the stance. Once you are back there and have the shocks disconnected, it's very easy to cut the springs and reinstall them to check the drop progress. start conservatively on cutting, then check and cut a bit more if needed until you get what you want.

Ordered some Madness Aggressive II springs for the rears. Couldn't be happier.

Too much drop for me, I have the steepest driveway on earth.
In a year I'll be in a new home with a (hopefully) normal driveway, but I don't know if I can live with this gap for a year LOL

The front scrapes even worse when I back in. The angles all conspire against this car LOL
