I wonder if this will fix my cold acceleration problem. The car is so jerky first thing in the morning.

No real starting issue (maybe a little occasionally) but first start of the day and more notable when colder temps my car is "jerky" as well. Smooths out once I am able to get into 2nd and have gotten down the road a little way. Now makes me wonder if I should just ask for my car to be updated anyway.

Same here. I've found that using sport mode until the temps come up helps a lot - kind of like a choke on carbureted cars.

Cool! I've noticed the hard-start and jerkiness since it's been cold out again. I'm due to go over there on Monday anyway, so I'll ask about this reflash.

For the '12-'13 500s, failure to start on the first turn of the key does seem to be a fairly common issue. I noticed this right away after buying mine, and gathered that it was "normal" from other users. My car has one of the other symptoms mentioned in the TSB - feeling like there is no compression. It'll start but will have maybe 30% power when you try to start driving, and either flooring or letting off the gas will cause the engine to shut off (whether in gear or not). This has mostly been an infrequent annoyance but I've had it happen when pulling out into traffic on a cold engine as well. Letting it idle for a few minutes before setting off when it's cold (< 30 degrees) seems to help with the second issue.

As for the update - my studio is acting like they're totally unfamiliar with it and possibly that I'd need to pay to have the flashing done, which makes me worry that I'll detach my retinas as I roll my eyes as hard as I possibly can. It's like, just gimme your little wiTech computer and I'll do it myself in ten seconds. It's not the mystery of life here. At least they promised to research the TSB further and get back to me.

I'll post an update if I can get it fixed, as my car is has been symptomatic in more than one area for this TSB since day one.
