    Dodge Challenger fuel door????

I have compared the Dodge Challenger fuel door to the mopar chrome fuel door upgrade and they look super identical. I am thinking they are interchangeable with the possibility of a new decal. If it does fit then options from junkyards would be endless.

Tempted, even a new OEM one that says "fuel" can be found for less than 75. Dont even mind the sticker as is.

The challenger one is snap in, where the fiat one is bolt in, so it may not be as easy as hoped. The challenger one does have a matte black version, which is tempting.

I guess I shall be the Guinea pig! I say swap the decal because the "fuel" sticker would be upside down due to the cap being on the opposite side of the car. Maybe it's as easy as buying some screws to bolt in? It would save us so much moolah! Also, we could benefit from aftermarket versions that are even aweosomer!!!!

Why bot just paint the 500's version? it will look very similar and you know it fits (I'm sure I saw someone already did this, too lazy to search :P )

    Keep us posted.

And for babelhoo. The Abarth one is around the same price as the 500 one, where the Challenger one is 1/3 to 1/3 the price with more finish options.

I have thought about maybe using an aircraft style cap. I have one made by Newton from the UK. Of course it’s not large enough for use on the Abarth. They look great and most of them have locks. I’m going to check and see what sizes are available. I put one of the Abarth chrome fuel doors on the first Abarth I had. Not a hard job except for removing the rear inner fender liner. It comes out a lot easier than it goes back in.
