Ahhhh --- the good old days ! They don't seem all that long ago. Thanks for posting.
I spent most of my money on fast cars, guitars and pretty women. I somehow managed to waste the rest of it.

Yeah, seems like just a few years ago. I love the "old" cars. Can't believe they're going on 40+ years. Funny thing is their specs are still modern. These cars were so ahead of their time.

How about a look at the 1974 Fiat 124 Sport Spider? I had this very brochure hanging up in my room when I was a teenager. What can I say? Some people had Farrah Fawcett and rock stars hanging up on their walls. I had Fiats and Lancias on mine....

Yup....I had a 1973 124 Sport Coupe...what a great car. Then I bought a brand new 1979 Fiat Spider 2000. It had the electronic ignition and a two barrel Weber carb, but was lacking in horse power, but was still a heckuva car. I still have it. Then I bought a 1984 Pininfarina Spider Azzurra with the electronic ignition and Bosch L Jetronic fuel injection. What an improvement! 102 HP and exceptionally reliable. What a beauty. Red with the tan interior and tan soft top. I still have that, as well. Over 200,000 miles on her and she was my daily driver for many, many years. Those Pininfarina Fiat Spiders are great looking cars...even today.

I am excited about the new 2017 Fiat 124 Spiders but I fear that at 64 years old, I am too old to get one. I love my 2013 Fiat Abarth but I will tell you that the Pininfarina Spiders are far better in the looks department. I absolutely adore the looks of the new 124 Spider, as well. I love the retro look and personally think they are much nicer looking than the new Miata. Oh to be young again....

Thanks for sharing. The 124 Sport Coupe was an incredible car. I'd take one over a 2002 any day.

Here's a couple of 124 Sport Coupe images for old time's sake:
